How do I add the bot to my server?

Visit the Netrcol website and click the Add to Server button. You will be redirected to Discord's authorization page where you can select the server you want to add the bot to. You need Manage Server or Administrator permission in the target server. The bot requests the bot and applications.commands scopes with Administrator permission by default.

The bot is not responding to my commands

If the bot is not responding, try the following steps:

1. Check bot status — Make sure the bot is online (green dot next to its name in the member list).
2. Use slash commands — Netrcol uses Discord's slash commands. Type / in the message box to see available commands. Prefix-based commands are not supported.
3. Check channel permissions — Ensure the bot has View Channel and Send Messages permissions in the channel you are using.
4. Check command permissions — The server administrator may have restricted certain commands to specific roles or channels. Ask an administrator to check the Moderation settings on the dashboard.
5. Re-invite the bot — If slash commands do not appear at all, the bot may be missing the applications.commands scope. Re-invite it using the link on the website.

Slash commands are not showing up

Slash commands may take up to one hour to register globally after the bot is added. If commands still do not appear:

1. Make sure the bot was invited with the applications.commands scope. If not, re-invite it.
2. Try restarting your Discord client (Ctrl+R on desktop).
3. Check if the command is disabled in the server's Moderation settings on the dashboard.
4. Ensure the bot has permission to register commands in the server (this is granted by the applications.commands scope, not by role permissions).

How do I change the bot language?

Netrcol supports 9 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic. To change the language:

- For the dashboard — Use the language selector on the landing page or within the dashboard interface.
- For bot responses — Go to your server's dashboard settings and change the server language. All bot replies, embeds, and system messages will use the selected language.

Language changes take effect immediately.

Can I use the bot in multiple servers?

Yes, Netrcol can be added to as many servers as you want. Each server has its own independent configuration — modules, language, permissions, and settings are all managed separately per server through the dashboard.

How do I report a bug?

You can report bugs in several ways:

1. Support Server — Join the official Netrcol support server at discord.gg/qdHMbvtAVd and use the bug report channels.
2. Dashboard Support — If you are logged into the dashboard, you can submit a support ticket directly from the Support page.
3. Include as much detail as possible: what you were trying to do, what happened, any error messages, and your server ID.

Is the bot free to use?

Netrcol is free to use with all core features available at no cost. Some advanced features may require Premium status for your server or may ask you to vote for the bot on Top.gg. Premium provides access to exclusive commands and higher limits for certain features.

How do I set up moderation?

To set up moderation:

1. Log in to the dashboard and select your server.
2. Navigate to the Moderation module in the sidebar.
3. Enable the module and configure the settings:
- Mod Log Channel — Select a channel where moderation actions will be logged.
- Auto-Mod Rules — Configure automatic moderation for spam, links, mentions, and more.
- Command Permissions — Restrict moderation commands (ban, kick, mute, warn) to specific staff roles.
- Temporary Bans — Enable temp-ban support with automatic unban.
4. Save your settings and test with a non-critical action.

The dashboard won't load or shows an error

If the dashboard is not loading:

1. Clear your browser cache and cookies for the Netrcol website, then try logging in again.
2. Check bot status — If the bot is offline, the dashboard may show a "Service Unavailable" page. Wait for the bot to come back online or check the support server for announcements.
3. Try a different browser — Some browser extensions (especially ad blockers) may interfere with the OAuth2 login flow.
4. Discord rate limits — If you see a rate limit error, wait a few minutes before trying to log in again. The dashboard handles Discord OAuth2 rate limits and will show a specific error message.
5. If the problem persists, report it in the support server.

How do I contact support?

You can reach the Netrcol support team through:

- Support Server — Join discord.gg/qdHMbvtAVd for real-time help from the community and support staff.
- Dashboard Support — Use the built-in support ticket system accessible from the dashboard navigation bar.
- Support Audit — Server administrators can view the support ticket history for their server through the dashboard.

What permissions does the bot need?

For full functionality, Netrcol requests Administrator permission. If you prefer to grant only specific permissions, the core requirements are: View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Add Reactions, Read Message History, Manage Channels, Manage Roles, Manage Messages, Moderate Members, Ban Members, Kick Members, Manage Nicknames, Move Members, Mute Members, and Connect. The dashboard includes a Permission Doctor that checks your configuration and tells you exactly which permissions are missing for your enabled modules.

How do I set up reaction roles?

To set up reaction roles:

1. Go to the dashboard and select your server.
2. Navigate to the Reaction Roles module.
3. Create a new reaction role panel by selecting a channel and composing a message.
4. Add role-emoji pairs — each emoji will assign the corresponding role when a member reacts.
5. Choose between reaction-based or dropdown menu mode.
6. Save and the bot will post the configured message in the selected channel.

Members can then react or use the dropdown to self-assign roles.

How do I set up tickets?

To configure the ticket system:

1. Open the dashboard and go to the Tickets module for your server.
2. Enable the module and set a ticket category — this is the channel category where new ticket channels will be created.
3. Configure a staff role — members with this role can see and manage tickets.
4. Optionally add ticket topics — different categories of tickets (e.g., General Help, Bug Report, Application) that users can choose from. Each topic can have its own staff role and emoji.
5. Set up a ticket panel — the bot posts a message with a button or dropdown that members use to open tickets.
6. Enable transcripts if you want to save ticket conversations when they are closed.

How do I set up server security protection?

Navigate to Left sidebar > Security on the dashboard. The security module has three components:

1. Anti-Nuke — Detects mass destructive actions (bans, kicks, channel deletions) and automatically punishes the perpetrator. Enable it, set a time window, and configure limits for each action type.
2. Anti-Raid — Monitors join patterns and triggers automated responses when suspicious join waves are detected. Configure the join threshold, scoring weights, and lockdown settings.
3. Verification Gate — Requires new members to pass a CAPTCHA or type a rules phrase before gaining access. Set up quarantine and verified roles.

See the full Security guide in Documentation > Features > Security System.

How do I create a giveaway?

Navigate to Left sidebar > Giveaway on the dashboard.

1. Enable the module and configure manager/creator roles.
2. Customize embed colors and the participation emoji.
3. Click Create Giveaway — select a channel, enter the prize, set the winner count and end time.
4. Optionally set a required role for participation.
5. The bot posts the giveaway embed. Members react to enter.
6. When time expires, winners are automatically selected. Use Reroll if a winner does not respond.

See the full Giveaway guide in Documentation > Features > Giveaway System.

How do I set up auto-roles?

Navigate to Left sidebar > Auto-Role on the dashboard. Three auto-role modes are available:

1. Join Role — Automatically assign a role to every new member. Select the role and optionally a log channel.
2. Tag-Based Roles — Assign roles based on user tags. Add tag-role mappings to match specific tags to roles.
3. Clan Tag — Assign a role based on clan tag affiliation.

Each mode can be enabled independently. Make sure the bot's role is higher than the auto-assigned roles in the role hierarchy.

See the full Auto-Role guide in Documentation > Features > Auto-Role System.

Can I play games through the bot?

Yes, Netrcol includes several games and activities:

- Blackjack — Play blackjack through Discord Activities or the dashboard. Supports private tables with invite codes.
- UNO — Play UNO with friends through Discord Activities. Supports bots, private tables, and real-time multiplayer.
- Economy Games — Various economy-based games accessible through slash commands.

Games can be launched from the dashboard or directly within Discord as embedded activities.
